Stainless steel elbows have excellent mechanical and physical properties, including water resistance, corrosion resistance, and pressure resistance. These characteristics make them suitable for use in various fields. Their outstanding features and advantages have led to their continuous promotion and improvement, fully demonstrating their value and effectiveness in construction without compromising quality.
The first step in the process is to measure and cut the raw material pipes. We calculate the distance from the center of the product to the end face, and then place them on a lathe for precise cutting.
Next, we apply ash to the cut pipes. This process acts as a lubricant to ensure the smooth appearance of the outer surface of the pipe fittings. Without the application of ash, noticeable streaks may appear on the surface of the pipe fittings.
After the pipe is ashed, the next step is pressing, which can be done using either mandrel pushing or ball pushing.
Then, the elbow undergoes annealing, where it is heated to a certain temperature and maintained at that temperature for a period of time before being allowed to cool slowly. Annealing is a crucial factor in determining the quality of the elbow after forming. It improves the mechanical properties of the hot-pressed elbow and reduces residual stress. Additionally, it decreases hardness, enhances plasticity and toughness, and improves processing and cutting performance.
The next step is pickling. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel pipe fittings primarily comes from the reaction of the chromium element in the steel with oxygen, which forms a dense protective layer on the surface. The purpose of pickling is to initiate this reaction in advance, thereby enhancing the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel pipe fittings. Additionally, the pickling process removes oil and other substances that may have contaminated the surface of the pipe during production.
After pickling, the product is fully polished using mechanical, chemical, or electrochemical methods to reduce the surface roughness of the workpiece, resulting in a bright and smooth finish.
Finally, sand rolling treatment is applied, where the pipe fittings are thoroughly sanded, and the surface of the product is cleaned to remove burrs. This process also helps in removing any rust on the surface.
After pickling, our products undergo a second pickling process to further enhance corrosion resistance and meet strict factory standards.
Finally, chamfering is performed. Chamfering removes burrs caused by machining and facilitates the assembly of parts by creating beveled edges at the ends of the parts.
The production and processing of stainless steel pipe fittings are completed in this way. We welcome all interested customers to inquire about our products.
