What are the inspection methods for stainless steel elbows?

The inspection method of stainless steel elbows is as follows:

Tensile test: Measure stress and deformation to determine the material's strength (YS, TS) and plastic index (A, Z) of the longitudinal, transverse sample section, arc, round sample (¢10, ¢12.5), small diameter, thin-wall large diameter, and thick-wall calibration distance.

Impact test: Conduct CVN tests using notch C-type, V-type, and measure power J value J/cm2. Standard sample size is 10×10×55 (mm), while non-standard sample size is 5×10×55 (mm). Additionally, perform process performance tests on the stainless steel pipe, including flattening and ring pull tests. Flattening test criteria: For round samples and C-shaped samples (S/D > 0.15), where H= (1+2)S/(∝+S/D) and L=40 ~ 100mm, the deformation coefficient per unit length should be 0.07 ~ 0.08. Ring pull test criteria: If there are no cracks and L=15mm, it is considered qualified.

Stainless steel elbows have a smaller diameter seal, resulting in a reduced size of the compact flange and consequently, a reduced diameter of the seal. This reduction in the cross-sectional area of the sealing surface should be noted during testing.
