Processing and manufacturing process and forming steps of stainless steel elbows

The characteristics of stainless steel elbows are corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and low temperature mechanical properties. They are corrosion-resistant in the atmosphere, acid-resistant, and alkali-resistant. Stainless steel elbows have excellent mechanical and physical properties and are the most commonly used material in the manufacture of fluid pipe fittings. So how are stainless steel elbows produced? What are its processing steps? Ningbo Xinggang Pipeline Editor will explain to you:

1. First of all, we need to cut and cut the raw material pipes, calculate the distance from the center of the product to the end face, and then put them on the lathe for orderly cutting.

2. Then, we apply ash to the cut pipes. The ash application process plays a role in lubrication to ensure the beauty of the outer surface of the pipe fittings. If there is no ash application, there will be obvious streaks on the surface of the pipe fittings.

3. After the pipe is ashed, it is time to press. Pressing is divided into mandrel pushing and ball pushing.

4. Then annealing treatment is carried out, the elbow is heated to a certain temperature and kept warm for a period of time, so that it cools slowly. Annealing is one of the factors that determine the quality of the elbow after forming. It improves the mechanical properties of the hot-pressed elbow and reduces residual stress; at the same time, it reduces hardness, improves plasticity and toughness, and improves processing and cutting performance.

5. The next step is pickling. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel pipe fittings mainly comes from the reaction of the chromium element contained in it with oxygen, which will form a dense protective layer on its surface. The role of pickling is to allow it to react in advance and improve the corrosion resistance of stainless steel pipe fittings. In addition, the pickling process will remove the oil attached to the surface of the pipe and other substances contaminated during production.

6. Then the product is fully polished, using mechanical, chemical or electrochemical effects to reduce the surface roughness of the workpiece to obtain a bright and flat surface processing method.

7. Sand rolling treatment, the pipe fittings are fully sanded and the surface of the product is washed to remove the burrs. It will also remove some rust on the surface.

8. After pickling, our products have been pickled twice, in order to make the product more corrosion-resistant and meet strict factory standards.

9. Finally, chamfer the parts. In order to remove the burrs on the parts caused by machining and facilitate the assembly of the parts, chamfer the ends of the parts.
