The elbow is a kind of pipe fitting commonly used in pipeline installation. It connects two pipes with the same nominal diameter or different diameters to make the pipe turn at a certain angle. Elbows can be classified according to production process, degree of bending, material, connection method, etc. For example: the same elbow can be cast steel elbow, 90 ° elbow, stainless steel elbow, threaded elbow, etc.
(1) The stainless steel elbow is protected by the long nozzle to enter the molten steel below the liquid surface of the tundish. The tundish is sealed with a cover, and the long nozzle and the tundish cover should also be sealed.
(2) Before injecting water into the tundish of the stainless steel elbow, the tundish is filled with argon (nitrogen) for about 6 minutes so that the oxygen content in the tundish is less than 2%.
(3) The water in the stainless steel elbow is protected by the alkaline slag in the tundish, and argon (nitrogen) gas is blown in the whole casting process for protection.
(4) The water in the stainless steel elbow enters the crystallizer through the immersion nozzle, and the seal between the nozzle and the tundish is made.
(5) Water entering the crystallizer liquid surface is protected with protective slag (top argon).
(6) Through such protection, the oxygen content in the stainless steel elbow will remain the same or be reduced.
